zm is primarily an ‘enabling’ mission as opposed to a ‘doing’ mission. In the UK we look to build support and prayer networks – a ‘Partnership in the Gospel’ between churches here and the church in Malawi and northern Mozambique.
zm has just one full-time and two part-time members of staff. So the role of volunteers is very important. Some serve as Honorary Representatives, some on the mission’s Executive Committee; whilst others volunteer in our office, maintain the website or help with stuffing and posting zm’s quarterly mailing.
zm’s Honorary Representatives visit churches and keep in touch with supporters, to encourage them, share the latest news from our partners in Malawi and northern Mozambique and report back on the use of resources. This is vital to the development of an effective ‘Partnership in the Gospel’ through zm.
